Community Programs

To offer the following programs, St. Peter's Lutheran Church is proud to partner with these Churchville congregations: Glossbrenner United Methodist Church, St. James United Methodist Church, and Loch Willow Presbyterian Church.

Katie's Snacks

Katie's Snacks is a free program that provides healthy food over the weekends for children at Churchville Elementary School. In Virginia, one in 11 children face hunger, and this program offers local students free meals outside of school.

Food Pantry

The Churchville Community Food Pantry is made possible thanks to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and volunteers from local congregations. Once a month, we lovingly package boxes for local residents experiencing food insecurity.

3

H.E.L.P.

The Health Equipment Loan Program, better known as H.E.L.P., began in 2014 to provide the local community with free medical supplies. Items such as gently used wheelchairs and grab bars are available for short and longterm use.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer, area churches partner together to offer a free, fun, week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) to celebrate God's love. Programming is offered for children ages 5-13, and a nursery is available for infants and toddlers.
